Mommin' Ain't Easy and Rocksbox Is Here to Help

Tuesday

For all of those who don't know already, we just had a new addition to our little family (hence the absence) and we couldn't be more thrilled!  But sometimes Mom needs something for herself, even if she's changing diapers.

So obviously, I couldn't wait to try these pieces from Rockbox out for a spin, let me know what you think!

Perry Street

This piece in the set was by bar my favorite.  I love how simple the design looks with the muted colors, perfect for fall and winter!  I'm kind of over the whole big statement necklace thing, especially with a baby, but this piece is simple and elegant enough to wear day or night.

Sophie Harper

I'll be honest, I'm over aztec but on the other hand my designer side loves geometric patterns.  All in all, I didn't think I'd like this ring but it's really kind of great.  Depending on your look, it be just the accessory that you need for your look (even if it's aztec).

Trina Turk

It's not really fair for me to review these, because I love shapes and green is my favorite color.  These cute little studs are a great accessory to any look and the hexagon shape is a fresh take on the traditional circle, not too shabby.

This Rockbox set was the perfect tranitional set from Fall to Winter and could go with practically anything in your closet (even t-shirts like all the other mommies out there).  If you need a little pop of color, or something unique to accessorize with your look, this is the set for you!   Overall, this set was great for my style because it's so simple.  What's so great about this set is that it's so versatile.  I may have a more simple style, but someone else may love to mix patterns and these pieces would go perfectly with that sort of look as well.

MM. LeFleur Makes Workwear Easy

It's no secret that sometimes we get tired of our workwear, and eventually learn to hate it.  Do you want to prepare the night before, is it worth it?  Or do you go completely the opposite way and say screw it and wear the same thing everyday (don't even get started about the extreme temperature months).  MM. LeFleur knows what you're going through and wants to lend a helping hand, personal styling that is.

MM. LeFleur is a fairly new company out of NY who specializes in chic, women's workwear and accessories.  They are a physical store (so no worries)  and offer one-on-one personal styling as well as the subscription box called a "bento box" which is only $25/month (free your first box).

Sarah LeFleur, CEO of MM. LeFleur was once in our shoes wearing boring suits and hating her wardrobe.  In 2013, Sarah joined forces with Miyako Nakamura and Narie Foster to launch MM. LeFleur and made it her passion to make dressing for work fun and effortless.

What I love most about MM. LeFleur is that their dresses and accessories look great with what you already have (because you already own workwear).  For this look, I'm wearing a bangle set I bought at Nordstrom, a necklace from Ann Taylor and earrings from Kate Spade.

$225

I loved the simplicity of this dress.  Cornflower blue is an amazing color when paired with a natural shoe and was a perfect pop of color.  The look was interesting but not too over the top, especially when wearing my Ringly.  Easy, done.

$250

The cut of this dress was very simple, yet very chic.  A perfect choice for a day to night look.  I paired this look with a cape blazer from Nasty Gal, vintage Versace scarf, choker from Jewelmint (Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen collection), bangle from Forever 21 and Vince Camuto gold and black patent wedges.

The Annie (shown in vintage blue above)
$165

I loved this pair of earrings.  Very simple and understated (why would you want something more when it's workwear, right?) and easy to either accessorize with or make a statement.

$110

Workwear is rough.  We wear the same old things over and over again (not to mention what we have to go through during summer and winter) and it can not only be uncomfortable but also repetitive.  MM. LeFLeur wants to change all that.  We should love what we wear to work, because honestly who's going to take us seriously when we aren't a little passionate about how we look?  Workwear can be fun, chic and totally easy.

I'll be honest, my Bento Box from MM. LeFleur was all of that, fun, chic and totally easy.  It was all there and I had pieces in my closet that matched perfectly with each dress or accessory (because I own workwear).  The clothes and earrings were incredibly well made and very chic.  Although each piece had details that made it special, I felt comfortable in each one (with the fabric and the cut).  All the pieces being transitional from day to night, I am confident that I would have no problem picking up anything from my bento box and just throwing it on and walking out of the door to work.  It's all so simple and perfect.  With that being said, some of you may have price tag shock (the first box is free) but in the end, it's all about what you want to invest in, and honestly workwear should be an investment.  In my opinion, work is lifelong and an investment so it's totally worth it.  If anything, try it once the first box is free, what do you have to lose?

An Easy Fashion It Girl Look, Styled at Your Fingertips

We've all scrolled through our newsfeed during lunch and totally lusted after the perfectly styled street style photos of our favorite icons.  It's ok, one day right?  Well, the stylists of Daily Look are totally on point (and know your fashionista needs) and literally just made your fashion it girl dreams come true.

$129

Who could seriously pass this one up?  This beautifully detailed crop top is a total keeper (also comes with cami photographed above).  Try styling with a midi pencil skirt or wide leg pants for an updated sleek 90's look.

This bag is already street style approved.  The simple minimalist shape and detailing is the perfect accessory for your super chic look.  Olivia Palermo would approve.

$50

This top is a great day to night piece that makes your look appear more expensive than it really is.  The contrast piping creates a sleek, simple look which is accented by the clean lines. The pale peach tone of this top makes most all skin tones appear more creamy and soft as well.  Pair this top with black leggings with piping detailing for a minimalist look.

$45

Who said your closet had to be black only this summer?  It's completely acceptable to mix in greys and neutrals for a perfectly contrasted look.  This top can be worn to work with a pencil skirt or worn to the beach with your favorite pair of denim shorts.

Note:  This is a sponsored post that contains affiliate links. I can receive compensation for the above products.  Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.

I've been working with Daily Look for a few months now and love the attention to detail and stylist/customer response.  In my opinion, other personal styling/subscription box type of companies may ask for your opinion (or suggest you take their styling quiz) but compared to Daily Look don't pay as much attention.  Of course it may not be totally fair because Daily Look has new looks quite frequently to inspire potential customers and the looks are very on trend (sorry guys).  For us fashion girls, it's a no brainer.

My style is pretty minimalist.  When I work in the studio, I have to wear all black and honestly I never get tired of it.  Lately, my black wardrobe has started to bleed into my  everyday wear, slowly.  So when I get a box that's mostly black (and grey) I get super excited.  I know if I didn't have open communication with my stylist, my boxes would probably be less minimalist and more Kylie Jenner.  So there's that.  Basically, the stylists at Daily Look  have a major sense of style and use their fashionista voodoo to send us exactly what we want and need to be our own it girl.  Fame comes later, obviously.

Daily Look Has the Working Girl in Mind

Models: Aj Schultz, Lacey Clarkson
Stylist/Photographer:  Allison Dandrea

We're all constantly on the run and let's face it, and we need a wardrobe that can keep up.  This month, Daily Look sent me pieces that work on the clock, no matter the time of day (or who you're meeting for drinks).

2.  ELLIATT-Sculpt-Skirt, $94.99

Finding the perfect skirt can be a challenge.  Do you go with the classic pencil or the go straight for the midi?  Sometimes you need a skirt that can double up for both day and night.  Daily Look has your back.

Power suit approved, drinks with clients later?

No problem.

2.  Cameo Nine Lives Skirt, $139.99

Lunch date looks are the most fun and should be the easiest to put together.  A great foolproof way is to go vintage inspired.  You'll be killing it in soft, feminine pastels colors and a 60's inspired mini skirt.  Looking for more of a classic look?  Perfect.  Stripes never go out of style (especially in spring), paired with a great pair of cropped black pants and a classic tote and you're set.

Great chain detailing and a simple clutch purse is perfect for a quick lunch date with your BFF.

Feminine details, like this great scalloped edge will give you instant class
(even if it only took you seconds to get ready).

 1.  Mable Split Side Tee, $24.99

Every fashion girl loves street style and totally wants to be seen on a reputable style blog, right (have you seen the fashion week street style photos)?  Well it's time to steal some of your fave street style well, style.

Minimalist is still a very big thing in the fashion world and you can seriously never go wrong with the basics.  This shirt dress is ultra soft and comfortable, why not try the whole dress over the pants trend that's been popping up all over fashion blogs for the past week or so?

The side slit adds interest (as seen on multiple style blogs and celebrities for the past few seasons, my personal fave was from Zara A/W '14) and the oversized, boxy cut of this tee is super chic.  Who needs fashion overkill when you can simply.

Plain tops and tees automatically look more chic and expensive when paired with leather.  That's just how it is.  Accessorize with some great rings or a long simple pendant and you're done.

It's that simple.

I'm a huge fan of Daily Look.  They offer a variety of price points, stylists that truly understand your style and needs (not just sending you what's in your wishlist) and have new and exciting merchandise (and styled looks for those who just don't have time) in literally all of the time.

My personal opinion on this box?  I loved it.  I had real versatility with everything in this box.  There were pieces for work, nights out and even great casual pieces.  Literally everything was covered.  My most favorite part about this box were the leather leggings.  I am not the type that would even think to try leather on my legs, and would definitely hate on it before I would try it, but they quickly grew on me.  So unexpected.  It's like my stylist knew what to send me without me actually saying anything.

Product Review Tuesday: JewelMint

The holidays are right around the corner, so this review is gearing us up for a little something more glam and sophisticated to wear out on the town, or to wear with our favorite knits.  Either way, we'll be dressed to kill, no matter the occasion.

Antoinette Shield Pendant

This necklace is probably my favorite piece from the whole collection.  This season, I've been wearing longer, simpler pieces with my knits and this necklace has just enough sparkle to keep a look chic yet understated.

 Aquitaine Necklace

I'm not a spike kind of a girl.  I can do modern, vintage and even edgy but never spikes.  But I'd have to say that this piece, paired with classic pearls can easily and unsuspectingly pull off a feminine, classy look.

 Honeycomb Earrings

I'm all about the front to back earrings (see my post here), the versatility and design alone are what sells this pair.  The classic design of the honeycomb, accented with a hint of sparkle and modern style of the front to back are a great statement piece.

This set had very modern designs, but inspired by vintage pieces that we all love.  These pieces can all be worn together or separately (and look great with evening wear and knits this season).  Each modern design has a vintage and classic twist, which is great to wear to those holiday parties or with a chunky sweater and your fav pair of denim.  Either way, these pieces also make great gifts (even if it's for yourself)!

RocksBox October Product Review

As cold weather sneaks up on us, it's vital to have transitional pieces to go with our luxe, textured fabrics of the season.  This Rocksbox set (put together by my awesome stylist) sums up everything we need to know about how to accessorize this fall.

Blackbird Collar Necklace

It's almost not fair for me to review anything about House of Harlow jewelry because {one} Nicole Richie is one of my fashion idols {two} I've used House of Harlow accessories for numerous photo styling projects and I love her style, I'll admit it I'm biased.  So with this piece, I'll cut to the chase.  The length is perfect to a v-neck top and the design is simple but is a great accent to any outfit.  The weight is light enough to not weigh down too much but also heavy enough to not move on it's own while wearing.  Perfection, in my opinion.

 Chloe Diamond Studs

If you've ready any of my other reviews you'll know how I feel about Gorjana's chic designs.  The simple hammered texture of these diamond shaped studs dresses up and outfit, while adding interest at the same time.  If I've learned anything at all from Gorjana, it's how to look timeless and chic without being decked out in bling.

Bling On Bracelet
Urban Gem

I always love receiving Urban Gem pieces in my sets, my absolute favorite jewelry vendor with Rocksbox hands down.  I love pave and the chain design is very classic and can be worn with any outfit this fall.  This bracelet is a must have not only for the design but the weight is very light (compared to other chain bracelets that I own, sorry J.Crew but we still adore you) which can be a plus if you give say presentations, style for photoshoots, sit at a computer at work (ehem).

This Rocksbox set literally read my mind (and my heart) because I absolutely love everything from this set!   Although I was already familiar with all of the vendors, the pieces that were chosen for me from my stylist surprised me because honestly I was surprised by the amazing designs.I work with House of Harlow alot with clients, so I am pretty familiar with her pieces but I've never come across this necklace from this set.  In essence, I'm honestly loving everything and can't believe how spot on my stylist got it.
