Chill Festival Vibes with RocksBox

Tuesday

With festival season in full swing, these pieces came just in time.  It's no secret that everyone looks forward to this season, not just because of the weather and music but for the wearables too.

When it comes down to it, large hats and denim are key but accessories that have the capacity to be layered (or not if that's not your thing) are where it's at.  If you think about it, you don't see alot of statement pieces during summer.  That's because it's hot, and you just don't want to deal with it.

Jenny Bird
$106

But if statement pieces are what you are all about, then go with something lighter like the Halo Pendant.  Not only does it have great minimalistic lines, but it's also lightweight which is key for dealing with those hot, humid months.

House of Harlow
$53

I love Nichole Richie but I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of House of Harlow.  Which is why I was surprised when I saw this piece because I immediately fell in love.  Ii's of course lightweight, adjustable and the vintage angled design is a total dream.  Sold.

Crystal Ear Climbers in Gold
Rebecca Minkoff
$52

For those ladies that still need to sparkle in the heat this is for you.  Rebecca Minkoff does a great job at making beautiful jewelry that doesn't overdo it.  Ear climbers are a simple yet great way to make a statement without having to think to hard about it.  In other words, put them in and you're done.

Although I probably wouldn't usually wear that much sparkle in the heat, I don't mind these.  They're obviously very lightweight and have a simple enough design to do the job (without overdoing it).

Dressing for the heat and humidity isn't easy.  Adding accessories to your look can just add excess weight so it's really important to pick your accessories carefully.  Unlike in colder months, you can grab yoru favorite statement pieces and a sweater and rock that look at season long.  Summer is a different story.

I was lucky enough to get a little bit of everything with this set.  From statement pieces to sparkle, not matter your style it was all in this set (and all lightweight).  The last thing you want is to be sweating and have to deal with heavy metal or any kind around your neck or on your wrists, believe me.  This set had some really great alternatives, no matter your style.  Personally, I love simple pieces because my clothes are how I express myself.  Not to say that I don't have statement pieces, it's just usually I don't rock them with say a patterned Kenzo top.  For those of you that do, more power to you, do your thing.  This set had pieces that had the option of layering or just wearing them as is.  It works for everyone.

Product Review Tuesday: JewelMint

Tuesday

The holidays are right around the corner, so this review is gearing us up for a little something more glam and sophisticated to wear out on the town, or to wear with our favorite knits.  Either way, we'll be dressed to kill, no matter the occasion.

Antoinette Shield Pendant

This necklace is probably my favorite piece from the whole collection.  This season, I've been wearing longer, simpler pieces with my knits and this necklace has just enough sparkle to keep a look chic yet understated.

 Aquitaine Necklace

I'm not a spike kind of a girl.  I can do modern, vintage and even edgy but never spikes.  But I'd have to say that this piece, paired with classic pearls can easily and unsuspectingly pull off a feminine, classy look.

 Honeycomb Earrings

I'm all about the front to back earrings (see my post here), the versatility and design alone are what sells this pair.  The classic design of the honeycomb, accented with a hint of sparkle and modern style of the front to back are a great statement piece.

This set had very modern designs, but inspired by vintage pieces that we all love.  These pieces can all be worn together or separately (and look great with evening wear and knits this season).  Each modern design has a vintage and classic twist, which is great to wear to those holiday parties or with a chunky sweater and your fav pair of denim.  Either way, these pieces also make great gifts (even if it's for yourself)!

JewelMint Product Review

Before we all throw on all black and sport our on trend Sorel's to brave the cold, it's time to take a minute and keep our winter wear in the back of the closet (at least for a few more weeks).

Color is a thing this season, and a great way to get excited for and transition into the colder months.  This time, Jewelmint opted for updated timeless designed pieces mixed with on trend, edgy styles.
Your fall wardrobe will thank you.

Perforated Pearl Earrings

Front to back earrings are a huge "it" piece and have been since last spring (see my review here) and I'm so glad because they are so easy to dress up or down.  By themselves, the perforated pearl earrings can be worn at stand alone pearl studs, but to add a little edge to your look, you can add the back jacket for instant glam.

 Regal Crest Necklace

Jewel tones are a must for fall and look great with every skin tone.  The Regal Crest Necklace by design is a great statement necklace, especially when paired with the Charmed Knight Bracelet below.  While this piece isn't too large to wear to work with a button down, it also looks great with a classic fit and flare dress for going out.

 Charmed Knight Bracelet

In my opinion, baroque inspired pieces are perfect for fall and instantly adds instant luxe to any look.  This simple but delicate bracelet when paired with statement jewelry or worn by itself, is a statement piece all it's own.  Although I was wearing it by itself above, this piece can be easily stacked with like statement bracelets or more simple ones for a stand out statement.

Jewelmint's styled set this month was a rich assortment of timeless pieces with a modern flair.  Although cold weather is well on it's way, color is a great way to transition your closet into fall.  The Regal Crest Necklace when paired with the Charmed Knight Bracelet both have a vintage flair but when paired with a simple button down and sweater create a modern look.  The Perforated Pearl Earrings are a huge on trend piece this season and this piece specifically is a very versatile, edgy piece.  In essence, you may find pieces elsewhere that are similar in design, but each piece has a design all their own which add something special to your wardrobe this season.
